Mix Bag (of serving ideas) not all are recipes ... just different ways to use oils and vinegars ...

Pumpkinseed Oil

  • mix a little bit into your vinegar dressing for potato salad

  • add a spoonful to your pumpkin/potato/leek/squash soup

  • drizzle over vanilla or coconut ice cream ...yum!

  • add it to your pancake mix for that pumpkin taste

  • use it as a substitute for butter (especially with nutty bread )

  • traditional Austrian dish is a salad made with lamb's lettuce and sliced warm potatoes with a pumpkinseed oil and apple balsamic dressing. (even better if you also rub the bowl with garlic)

  • drizzle it over the "Roast Duck" from Village Roast Duck at Bangsar Village


    "Coriander-Basil-Parsley" Pesto

    1 bunch Coriander (cilantro)
    1 bunch Basil
    1 bunch Parsley
    1/4 cup lightly roasted pine nuts
    1 tablespoon lightly roasted garlic (optional)
    1/2 cup basil olive oil (from VOM FASS of-course)
    salt to taste (and/or grated parmesian cheese)

    Place all ingredients (except the basil oil) into a food processor. Turn on processor and slowly add the basil oil until you get a smooth paste. If your herb bunches are large, you may need to add more oil. Note that it is also possible to add extra virgin olive oil if you find the basil oil too strong.

    Serve with pasta, toasted bread, corn-chips etc.

    Note: If you are planning to keep this in the fridge (up to a week at most), add the cheese only to the portion that you are serving up.


    "DIY"-Omega 3-6-9 Dressing

    15 ml Lemon oil VOM FASS
    20 ml Almond oil "vierge" VOM FASS
    5 ml Styrian pumpkinseed oil VOM FASS
    10 ml Flax oil VOM FASS
    30 ml Aceto Balsamico di Modena Maletti Riserva Speciale VOM FASS
    Mix all ingredients well and season to taste with salt and pepper

    Note: An alternative Omega 3-6-9 dressing would be to use the VOM FASS Omega 3-6-9 Power-Mix (oil) together with our FassZimotion Balsam Apple vinegar with live yeast.
